Personal blog of Bernie Selvey
couple weeks ago
A couple weeks ago, we had a blizzard that dumped a huge amount of snow in Lehigh Valley, PA. Here are a couple videos from the storm. I love when the snow is really deep like this. It's ashame that we don't get storms like this more often. I would love to have at least one storm a year drop at lest 18+ inches of snow on us. :) I don't have a new video of Chance running around in the snow, but ...

Unlike the 'idiot' in the image to the right, I love the true idiots our there that think because they have 4 twitter accounts with different names. Do these idiots think they are really 'out smarting' everyone, because they post the same thing to 4 different accounts at the same exact time.WTF!!! why waste bandwidth? These people are a waste of good air and food. Heck the food these idiots ea...
Snowy and sloppy
Boy, it was sloppy getting to work today. :( Wanted to write a little about the State of the Union from last night. Overall, I will say it seems that the Pres. Obama is trying. I think his mind is in the right spot (ie saying people have lost faith in our gov't - call it the way you see it) The problem is that Obama and all others elected to Washington, need to change. It's not the American peo...

Phils game was a good time, but food prices suck & rant about john deere

Kathi and I went to the phils game last night, I recorded a video from our seats with the FLiP camera we have.  I really like the flips. I think they are great lil cameras for people like me that want an affordable option to record little events and really don’t want to spend hundreds to a thousand bux on a digital video camera.

Well my job is going awesome. I wish I could say the same for my luck with mechanical things this year. I’m not really sure what the issue is, but I’m having really bad luck with mechanical things this year, jetta has been nothing but trouble from day one (1st VW, that I absolutely hate, the thing’s a money pit), truck had 2 issues, now my mower has a crack in a the cast housing for the hydraulic pumps that drive the motors (worst part is the pumps were replace 1.5 yrs ago and have have less then 30 machine hours on them- Stupid John Deere Shit). John Deere won’t even stand behind their product. I hope that company gets bought out by a chinese company, that’ll teach ‘em)

Long weekend…

Posted By: bdog on May 26, 2009 in me raw - Comments: No Comments »

WOW…what a long weekend.  I’m beat up and tired. I’m not really looking forward to the next two weeks. 2 weddings, 2 rehearsal dinners, 2 tuxes, 1 really long drive home from a wedding, 1 get up early and work after a wedding… It be so much nicer if my family and friends would work out better schedules to cater to me. Darn it, don’t think that is happening anytime soon. :)

I’ll be posting some more videos tomorrow. We are going to the Phils game and I’m taking the FLIP. I love the camera. it’s  nice peice of equipment.

my awesome php programming freak co-worker Jeff, mentioned instead of #followfriday on twitter we should do #smilefriday pics. We upt the ante, it’s a video. Imagine that we work for a video hosting come (www.Viddler.com) and we made a smilefriday video. :)

Thank you – Brandon Cathey

I want to take a moment out of my day here. I just got an email from Brandon Cathey (Director of Sales and Marketing for Ironclad Authentics). I wrote to a non-discript email form that I had an issue and within a very short period of time, Brandon wrote me back and handle the situation above and beyond my highest expectations. I can’t put in words how much this means to me. Brandon was very professional and respectful and I thought he was extremely respectful of my situation and experience with Ironclad.

Please do what you can to support Ironclad, I know I will be doing what I can to promote them and their good deeds on the social media networks. (and no I don’t mean facebook, myspace (soo 2004), thanks again Brandon.

Rain and obama

Posted By: bdog on May 4, 2009 in Politics, me raw - Comments: No Comments »

The rain the past week or so, has been ridiculous. I’m behind on my mowing because of the rain. This weather sux. I hope there is a break for a couple days soon…
In other random thoughts:
I swear every time obama speaks the markets tank. I just saw him this morning talking about tax codes reform, blah, blah, blah…
What did the market do? Within 1 minute of him talking the market (NYSE – yes, I know that the NYSE only covers 30 stocks) gave back almost 5% of the gains from before he spoke. with about 3 mins the market took back another almost 5%. WOW!!! almost 10% of the gains from this morning were given back within 3 mins. WTF!!! has anyone else seen this trend, too?
Obama, if you want the markets/economy to recover, Shut up!!
another interesting thing said was by Timothy Geithner, you know our United States Secretary of the Treasury. Our tax evasion hero said that the new tax reform will close loop holes so that people can’t do what he did (as easily- we all know with enought money you can do what ever you want). They are closing loop holes and working with other countries to close down tax havens. Awesome, I can’t wait. Oh, wait that has nothing to do with me. darn. I’m thinking as long as people don’t follow our ole buddy, Tim, and not pay taxes we should be ok as a country. I guess Geithner, was not a bad pick as the United States Secretary of the Treasury, because they always say the best way to catch a crook is to become a crook. So now that Geithner, is in charge, he knows all the loop holes he used to not pay taxes and he can close them and look for new holes that will be created.
I’m outtie, gone….
