Big Daddy Softball is on a roll. we’ve won 5 of 6 and have 4 wins in a row. With this current streak we doubled our wins for the season. Guess that’s what getting off to a bad start will do.
But the team is playing awesome defense and we’re smacking the sh!t outta the ball on offensive. I also noticed, i’m the #1 result for Big Daddy Softball on google. Yipppeeee! Well we only have a about 5 weeks of ball left to play, it’s amazing how fast it goes by, especially with all the working I’ve been doing. Hoping to help sponsor the team next year, that’d be awesome.
Tonight we have the renegades for my coed league, we’re doing pretty well in that league. #3 in the standings. Not too bad, considering we had to play 3 games with only 9 fielders. Heck, one game was 5 -2…in slow pitch softball.
This is the fun stuff, in my otherwise extremely busy summer. Just wish sometimes that there was more time in the day, but realise if there was, i’d be working more.
my awesome php programming freak co-worker Jeff, mentioned instead of #followfriday on twitter we should do #smilefriday pics. We upt the ante, it’s a video. Imagine that we work for a video hosting come (www.Viddler.com) and we made a smilefriday video.
The first full week of softball (3 days) is over. We went 1-2 and will finish the last game at a date to be determined (we were winning 13-12). I can’t complain, I was 3 for 7, with 6 rbi and 2 sac flys. I do have to stop driving the ball, there are no fences on most fields we play on, so the defenders just back up when I come to bat. Line-drives up the middle, back at the pitcher, through the box.
The good thing is I feel great, I’ve started to run on the side. Hoping to make it through the whole season without getting hurt/injuried. As the years pass, it is getting more difficult to keep up with the guys that are 22, 23. But I’ll push them harder then most people do, I like to show up the younger guys. ![]()

Work is going awesome, Viddler is a great company. Earlier this week, one of our cats got out and I went home to help my wife look for our ‘lil buddy. I was home for about 2.5 hours when we found the lil guy. But the company, really is great, they let me make up the hours and were very supportive in letting me have the time to take care of personal issues. This is the picture perfect situation of how companies can have corporate responsibility aimed at helping and promoting employee wellness.
So far, April has been awesome. Went to the Orioles season/home opener, 7 years in a row now. Not only did we win over the hated/loathed yankees, but I got an autograph from VP Joe Biden. Political differences aside, it’s pretty neat to shake hands with the Vice President of the United States.
Viddler.com, the company that employs me, had a launch of a new build last week (4-1-09) and it went very well. Hopefully, launches in the future will go as smooth. PS- I have some video from Orioles opening day that I’ll post shortly, but I have to get them off my damn FLIP camera. Stupid FLIPPin’ video camera.
Softball started, well practice anyway. Games start in about 2 weeks. Man, I’m sooooo incredibly out of shape.
Kathi’s non-profit, IttyBittyKitty, is doing very well and will have a website makeover shortly. I just have to make sure that I don’t make the same mistake I made on bdog.org and make everything go ‘Poof’ and disappear. I’ll post a link to the development site, once I have it up.
That’s about it, since working at Viddler, I’ve had the itch to start hacking things together for my blog. The only thing holding me back is time. It’s springtime, I have to play softball, disc golf, go on walks, work, work again, mow lawns, the list goes and goes. So, trying to figure out how to put video posts in my blog, is not a super-top priority.
That’s my update. Happy Easter and do something creative fun and relaxing!!
Here is a video about my new position with Viddler.com.
I’m also a flyers fan, so orange and black all around.
